WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS

So lets cut to the chase 2020 was interesting (for want of a better word right?)

it challenged us is ways we could never imagine. We juggled new routines, job changes, upped our screen time. At times it was isolating, difficult and sometimes darn right un- bearable and just like a huge % of the population our health took a back seat.

When you lack good health, everything else in life suffers. It’s harder to concentrate and study. Illness can cause you to fall behind in coursework, work projects and loose insight. Stress can make you feel overwhelmed. If you want to do well in all areas of your life, you must make your health a priority. The retreat MUST go inwards!

When this happens, in that stillness it creates. I always find myself tapping into the echo of my xuxi Nana’s voice;

“ Sweetie you have to crush the fruit to get the juice!”

So, in order to move forward. lets take a moment to reflect and instead ask

“ WHAT DID YOU GAIN?”

Lets all take a moment to flip the switch. I for one, will never get the opportunity to spend as much time with my son. I learnt to do my own eyebrows! I embraced the change is seasons, read more, slowed my practice right down and my body THANKED me for it! I am more present with friends and call people more often for ‘proper chats’ . There are certain things that I would never have introduced before this shift but those are the things that will NEVER leave me now.

So as we look towards inviting in the true New Year. As Summer gently whispers us to wake… what new habits will you take with you?

Make a list of the top 3 things that most challenged you and how they have helped you to grow. Then 3 things that have brought you the most un-expected joy and how you can weave them into this unfolding season.
