When was the last time you gave yourself a mindful moment?
It seems crazy that I m asking that during the Easter break. When we have added childcare, family commitments and an inbox of admin to catch up on.
But that’s when we need it most.
So what is a mindful moment?
What does that even mean?
Whelp, mindfulness is the practice of purposely focusing your attention on the present moment,
That’s right, no phones, no conversation, no thought of giving unto another task. Simply…
•Observing
•Describing
• Acting with awareness
These moment don’t have to be big or clever it COULD be a walk in the park (literally), a Pilates class, slowly exploring how a bite of bread tastes with dinner or EVEN putting on headphones and doing the weekly shop (sans kids)
So my challenge to you today is to set a timer and be mindful for 5 minutes.
